Connect to the board with terminalDo not use Arduino IDE's integrated Serial Monitor. It will not work very well because it does't support ANSI/VT100 emulation.
In this example we are using Mac and it's standard command line programs. You can (of course) use any fancy graphical program to this as well, but i found many of them a little bit outdated. For other computers you could try use HyperTerminal, PuTTY or Bterm.
Open up Terminal.app (in Applications/Utilities folder) and...
- Plugin USB cable
- Locate your USB port file, type ls /dev/*usbmodem*
- Type screen -f /dev/tty.usbmodem411 115200 (replace usbmodem411 whatever you did get in previus step)
- Ready! You should see similiar screen as pictured here!
You are now ready to set adaptation values and upload maps.
Hint! Use Ctrl-a k to end terminal session.
